It can be cold especially at the highest point whenever you go. The food provided along the trail is simple Nepali food that mostly comes only from this area. The vegetables and other food stuffs are organically grown locally. The main meal is called Dal Bhat that consists of rice, lentil soup, vegetables (curried and plain), local salads, pickles and chicken or mutton, sometimes with buffalo meat. Canned foods are also almost non-existence or are used very occasionally. Roti or bread made of wheat, barley and millet; noodles; and a mix of some Nepali and western food support the main meals. Overall the meals provided are healthy and wholesome, hygienically prepared and served by trained cooks and staff.

For drinking water we strongly advise you to bring one or two litre water bottles to refill with boiled and treated water, as plastic mineral water bottles are discouraged for environmental reasons. The water bottle can be filled at the lodges whenever you need or at the lunch stops.
