The trek

The trek Langtang Helumbu Circuit is through the national park and the mountain in the north of Kathmandu valley. This trek, involves going to the glacier valley, alpine lane and pass.

Trekking days are normally about 6-7 hours long, and can be strenuous due to the altitude and the walking terrain of the mountains. You begin trekking after a hearty breakfast, stop for lunch in the middle of the day and arrive at the lodge in the afternoon.

Best time for this trek

This trek can done almost through out the year but it entirely depends on what you are looking for!. The months of March, April and May is the season of flowers that adds extra beauty in the mountain areas. with lots of flowers in bloom, especially rhododendrons in the mountain and hills looks wonderful. For tourist this time is  the  second busiest season to visit mountain for trekking and mountaineering.

June, July and August can be wet but the mountains and hills are covered with lush and lively green forest or vegetation. Though this season might be not so good for the mountain views but still lot worth  trekking. Very few people travel during this time, which is perfect time for a person who has interest in exploring the quieter path and nature in its best.

October and Novembers are the best in terms of settled weather and crystal clear sky which provides clear views of mountains. At the same time the trails can be crowded with the trekkers, sometime creating the  problem to find lodge   especially if one is traveling with a small group.

Level of grade

Trekking no matter how hard is always rewarding due to the breathtaking mountain views and the cultural experience. During this trek the average walking duration will be about 6 hours a day and the elevation gain is not more than 4600m with an exception of excursion for short time. The walk can be strenuous at some points. People should prepare accordingly.

Our trip itinerary has been designed in a way that allows you to have more time to help acclimatizes in high altitude. Our guides are experienced to act according to the gravity of the mountain sickness people might fall victim.
