For drinking we recommend a bottled water to avoid the water born problems. During the trek you will be provided with treated or boiled water for drinking. Our guests are advised to carry a water bottle and fill it up to discourage use of plastic water bottled as it can only burden our environments. The water available should be treated with Lugol’s solution or other water purification tablets before use.

Level of grade ~ introductory to moderate

This trip is classified as introductory to moderate adventure, though ones level of fitness during the trek can make it lots of difference. The hike involves 4-5 hours of walking in average covering the highest point of 3200m at Poon Hill only. The walking at some point are steep up and down but its very possible. All you need is an attempt and positive attitude.

Safety

Safety during the trek and visiting other places are the key priority, which comes with an enjoyment. Our guides/tour leader is well experienced to take care of the logistic to make the trip very safe. In Chitwan there will be always an experience guide to take to the jungle for nature tours. Elephants are very sure-footed animal and are very safe to do the safari on their back.

Seasons

To visit this area is possible through out the year. Though it depend what weather you wish to choose. March, April and May are good for the flowers such as Rhododendrons, which create a lovely view with a backdrop of snow clad mountain. October and November are crystal clear sky and mountain views are breathtaking from almost a every angle it is seen. June to September are lush green all around, though traveling can be bit not easy due to the rainfall. Winter months are also okay to travel to this area, provided the cold weather is okay. Both rainy and winter season are quiet as very few or almost no people travel during this time of the year.

Our Responsible approach

During our treks, we use the designated routes and campsite to avoid negative impact on our degrading environments. The local culture and tradition are respected. During these trips we use Home stay as much as possible to support the local economy. We do not use the firewood and use gasoline or gas for cooking and encourage the solar heating to avoid further deforestation. To avoid littering we educate and aware our clients, staffs and porters to use the right place to dispose the garbage and bring back the non-bio-degradable ones. We do not put the mobile toilet near the water and any other places that is culturally or locally important or sacred. We also try to use the service of local porters and guides if possible. We understand that the conservation is a big issue and should be supported in whatever way we can.
