Bordering with Tibet, Langtang National Park is located to the north of the Kathmandu. It is also one of the popular adventure trekking destination in Nepal. Langtang national park is the natural paradise for nature lover and ornithologist. The park is also extremely rich in birdlife, making this an excellent birdwatching and nature hiking destination not far from Kathmandu, in the Himalaya. One of the most popular and unique bird Ibisbill travel up to Langtang to breed. It is also the home to numerous rare, endangered flora and fauna; rare, elusive Red Panda and Snow Leopards inhabit here. Within the park we have this sacred and alpine lake Gosainkund, part of world’s wetland, that is important to the whole country.

The Trek

Langtang national park and Bird, Trek itinerary is designed for any nature and adventure lovers based in camping accommodation. For bird lovers, this is a must nature trek into the Himalayas. To have the maximum record of birds the camping will be usually done in more remote areas wherever possible and also the hiking duration is usually shorter on most of days.
