Mardi Himal trek can be also called, “Another Sanctuary Trek”, in Nepal. This amazing short trip to Mardi Himal, is one of the shortest trek to get up-close to the Himalayas and on the snow line in winter. The trek has an easy approach from Pokhara and takes you through the villages and into the wilderness to the wonderful ridge before the mountains. The up close Mardi Himal and Fishtail with other snowy peaks around are amazing view and are very close. The hike up to Mardi Himal base camp is an amazing and unforgettable experience of your lifetime. The natural forest trail is so peaceful and lively at the same time with the birdlife and other wildlife can be encountered. Mardi Himal is also next to Piper area, that is a sanctuary of Pheasant of Nepal, where most of the Pheasant area recorded. The WPA (World Pheasant Association), keeps monitoring the birds of this area, mainly pheasants.
