Day Hiking Champa Devi Hike

[su_spoiler title=”Hike Overview”]Located to the south of Kathmandu, Champa Devi Hill is one of the best hiking trail in the valley rim. Right after short drive (about an hour), you start hiking up, through the thin Pine forest and then along the ridge, that offers a panoramic view, the  spectacular view of snow clad Himalayan range, with the bird’s eye view of the Kathmandu Valley. The mountains that are seen (on a clear day), includes Annapurna range in the west, near Pokhara, Manaslu, Ganesh range, Langtang and Jugal Himalayan range to the mountains of east, even Mount Everest, but that really depends on how clear the weather. The Eagles and Kites, can be seen soaring below the trails. The summit is enshrined with a sacred shrine, that offer a spiritual and wonderful feeling of being up there on, one of the top! After enjoying the view and rest on the summit, you will take the trail that descends steeply down through the dense forest that is very rich in bird’s and wildlife. This trail is not always accessible due to its steep and slippery trail due to rain or  moisture even in winter. In this case, you will travel back down to your starting point before driving back to Kathmandu.[/su_spoiler]
