The Gokyo valley trek is an alpine trek that, explores the heart of the Sherpa, Namche Bazaar before ascending to this beautiful valley of stunning glacial lake – Gokyo, located below the scenic Gokyo Ri peak with the largest glacier and moraine on the north-eastern side. Hike to Gokyo Ri offers a great view of glacier on the backdrop of mount Cho Oyu (8153 m), Gyachungkang and Mount Everest. Visiting to the 5th lake is another nice walk from the Gokyo. This area is also in less crowded area as compared to Everest base camp.
