This sacred hill of Panchase is located in the west of Pokhara. With an elevation of 2500m, on off the beaten and natural trail, it is a great destination for the taste of great hiking experience in the country. Culturally and traditionally, it is an important area for pilgrimage, with sacred shrines, lake, Stupa and caves. This area is also extremely rich in flora and fauna that host numerous species of wild orchid including two endemic, rhododendrons and herbal plants with several species of birds, butterflies and mammals.
Panchase hill is also famous for the panoramic mountain view that extends from Dhaulagiri in front with Annapurna range, Fishtail, Lamjung, Gorkha Himal, to Ganesh and Jugal range in the east, seen near Kathmandu.
Walking duration and difficulties
In general, it is 6-7 hours approximately in average, though can vary according to different individuals. It also depends on how often you makes scenic or rest stops.
The hike is of introductory to moderate difficulties. It can, however, can be experienced differently by each individual. It also depends on how to fit you are mentally too!
The hike can be customized accordingly with the duration and time.
